Morrisville State’s Men’s Soccer team defeated Wilson college by a 2-0 deficit on Oct.21, However Msc Lost to Lancaster Bible college in a 1-0 clash on Oct.22.
Sophomore Forward Stephen Oduro Led the Mustangs ( 6-8-1, 5-2-1 NEAC) With one goal and a assist, while Senior Goalie Cody Gaines Contained Wilson College with two saves. Wilson College(5-7-2, 3-4-0 NEAC) led by Goalie Dan Perry, With a 50 percent conversion at saving the goal .Msc dominated wilson in a shutout victory highlighted by defense. The following game, MSC took a heartbreaking loss in a highly contested 1-0 battle with Lancaster Bible College. The Chargers led by Ivan Correa capped of scoring the only goal of the contest.
MSC came out the gates strong, The first goal came in at 4:05 in game time.Oduoro scored a goal assisted from Teammate Jose Figueroa in a crafty left sideline pass that resulted in a score giving 1-0 Advantage to the Mustangs. In the dominating team performance MSC Sophomore Midfielder Daniel Agoba scores a goal assisted from teammate Oduoro with a pass through the middle to give MSC the 2-0 Advantage that would later seal the deal. While The offense flourished, The defense made a statement, Gaines led the charge with two saves to shutout Wilson College.
In the following game of the road back to back MSC lost to Lancaster Bible College in a hotly contested game. The charger Ivan Correa scored the only goal of the contest late in the second period at the 73:47 in game time. Defense paved the way in this contest. MSC goalie Cody Gaines had 33 percent success rate allowing one goal on three attempts. On the other side Vann Sutphin had an 100 percent success rate allowing MSC to score no goals on a whopping four attempts.
